Striking is the big difference in the presence of Bacteroides and Prevotella bacteria.

A plantbased diet rich in high fiber carbohydrates results in a Prevotella type of microbiome, a diet with  animal protein and  fat results in a Bacteroides type microbiome.  Bacteroides species are generally associated with increased risk of colon cancer.
